Our boneless leg of lamb joints of heather fed lamb make the perfect Sunday roast and are extremely easy to carve. The lambs are reared in the beautiful Forest of Bowland as part of a hefted flock; roaming free and grazing high up on the fells . It is this combination of the rugged terrain and the gorse and heather that the animals feed on which gives the meat a delicious flavour. Our skilled butchers carefully tunnel bone the leg, remove any excess fat and string into the perfect joint, ready to go straight in the oven.

Quite an intimidating joint of meat to roast due to its size, but the end result was superb.

The roasting juices, the quality of which I haven't seen for too many years, provided a gravy that was as good as the meat.

I would thoroughly recommend this product as the basis for a memorable meal. It certainly went down well with my guests.
